Vignolo rosso DOC

In 1985 Montecarlo officially received the certification of origin for the red wine; the Montecarlo Rosso D.O.C.

This wine blends, in varying percentages, Sangiovese, the quintessential indigenous Tuscan variety with other grape varieties that express their finest potential here in Tuscany. Our Montecarlo Rosso is a delightful fruity, well-rounded wine. Perfect to be paired with traditional Tuscan dishes, its well-balanced body and fine structure also make it a wonderful match for premium grilled red meats.

Tasting Notes
An intense ruby red color, on the nose it presents rich hints of red berries, such as ripe cherry and cassis. On the palate, it is full-bodied, long-lasting, fresh and pleasantly rounded.

Food Pairings
It pairs wonderfully with our local Tuscan cuisine, ranging from traditional appetizers to meat-based pasta dishes or hearty vegetable soups. It is also ideal with grilled red meats.

Vignolo, in our dialect, is the name of the vineyard that grows here in Montecarlo. From this connection to the land comes our Rosso DOC: a masterful blend of Sangiovese, Syrah, and Merlot grapes that brings aromas of ripe red fruit and flowers to the glass, with a medium structure that makes it perfect for any food pairing.
