Born in our most highly prized vineyards in Montecarlo is “San Piero”.
The meticulous management of our Old Vines, the soil and the grapes allows us to harvest only the finest clusters of Sangiovese and Merlot. The vinification process in our cellar is carefully tailored to enhance the unique characteristics of these grapes, followed by a masterful aging period in oak barriques and, finally, a well-deserved rest in the bottle.
Tasting Notes
A deep ruby red color, on the nose it opens with broad aromas of tobacco and dark chocolate, elegant woody and vanilla notes beautifully integrated with balsamic hints and complex undertones of licorice and caramelized fruits. On the palate, it is complex, elegant, intense and pleasantly rounded.
Food Pairings
Ideal to be paired with rich dishes: grilled Florentine steak, grand roasts, stews, braised meats and game. It is also well worth trying alongside rich, dark chocolate desserts.
